In early 2021, at the age of 57, I went to the doctor to get my shoulder looked at. She recommended that I get an MRI to see what we could see. A couple of days later she called me with the results. I had a torn rotator cuff, but it wasn't big enough to require surgery (which I would not have had done). She advised me to take it easy and not overuse my right shoulder.

We had just purchased property in the country, and I was busy putting up fencing, using post hole diggers and doing a lot of hammering, so I wasn't able to "take it easy" as my doctor suggested. Not to mention that I was still working out at the gym 6 days a week trying to gently rehab my shoulder that was not only still hurting but was also beginning to lose range of motion.

After another year of suffering with pain, eating a lot of Ibuprofen (which I really don't like to take) and trying to be gentle with my right shoulder, I went back to the doctor to get another look at my shoulder. After the second MRI (pictured below), she informed me that my tear had not gotten any bigger, but that it now had a twin next to it, and that somehow, I had a torn bicep in the same arm as well. My range of motion had also gotten much worse. I could barely lift my hand above my head. There was no way I could extend my arm to its fullest length. I was also in serious pain. I found myself trying all kinds of "Remedies", including going to the CBD store and buying some CBD cream to rub on my areas of pain. Although the CBD cream helped, it was very temporary relief.

I was getting depressed. With a 3-year-old granddaughter and a 1-year-old grandson, and a life that was full of physical activities, I could not envision that I would not be able to pick up my grandkids or play frisbee with my dog ever again. I truly was down in the dumps. I had reached the end of my rope and felt like there was no place to go and no one to help me. 

Then it happened...

A friend that I had not heard from in years sent me a private message and asked me if I was familiar with red light therapy. It just so happened that I had just begun to use a red-light therapy machine at my gym, and that I had done some research as to the benefits of RLT.

Well, if you have ever been in significant pain before, you know that you are willing to try just about anything to find relief. That is certainly where I was at. I asked him where I could purchase the product, and he directed me to a website. I purchased the product, and it was delivered within just a few short days.

Here is where the miracle for me took place...

To be honest, I was very skeptical that this product would help me at all, but if it would take the edge off of the pain, I was willing to give it a try. The product came and I opened the package. It was an envelope with 30 small, round patches that looked like some sort of band aids. I peeled that back of the sticky side off and applied the patch directly to my pain point. For the first couple of weeks, I didn't feel any difference.

Then, the magic began...

I noticed pretty suddenly that my pain was reduced...about 40% if I had to guess. As the days went by, I noticed more and more. By day 25, I was rotating my arm around like a clock arm and was trying to find the pain point on my shoulder so I could apply the patch. To my surprise and amazement, I could not find it. The pain had been reduced by at least 95% and my range of motion was almost 100% normal again! I was absolutely amazed at my improvement. Today, I am 100% myself again, and I am able to do everything that I could do before I injured my shoulder and bicep. I am so thankful to my friend who shared this technology with me. These patches have truly given me my life back!
